Central Southland Emergency Helipad Update
Central Southland Emergency Helipad Update
The Helipad Project Committee is pleased to announce that we have nearly secured the necessary funding to commence construction of our new helipad early next year. This development marks a significant milestone in enhancing our emergency response capabilities and improving patient care.
Project Overview:
- Objective: To construct a modern helipad that facilitates rapid and safe air ambulance access, ensuring timely medical interventions for critically ill or injured patients.
- Funding: The project is primarily funded through generous community, business and trade contributions.
- Timeline: Construction is scheduled to begin, and possibly be completed, in the first quarter of next year.
Community Impact:
The new helipad will significantly reduce the time required to transport patients to specialised medical facilities, thereby improving survival rates and health outcomes. It will also enhance our capacity to respond to emergencies in remote and rural areas, providing equitable healthcare access to all residents.
Acknowledgments:
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all contributors, stakeholders, community members, and businesses whose unwavering support has made this project possible. Your contributions are instrumental in advancing our mission to deliver improved healthcare services.
Next Steps:
As we approach the commencement of construction, we will proceed to seek the final funding to get us over the line.
